Acquisition expands offerings for couples seeking a streamlined and personal experience for smaller celebrations
NEW YORK, NY, July 8, 2024 — The Knot Worldwide, a leading global marketplace and family of brands championing celebration, today announced it has acquired the business of Simply Eloped, the go-to online platform for elopements and microweddings in the U.S. Simply Eloped has helped thousands of couples plan hyper-personalized and intimate celebrations through its technology platform and wedding vendor network. The acquisition furthers The Knot Worldwide’s mission to support all couples as they plan their unique weddings, including those opting for smaller or more intimate celebrations.
Founded in 2016, Simply Eloped allows couples to purchase customized elopement and microwedding packages, ranging from $450 to $5,500. The company’s intake, vendor management and booking platform delivers a streamlined yet highly personal customer experience, simplifying what has historically been a complex purchase. Simply Eloped then leverages its community of more than 750 wedding professionals to source and match with couples, delivering confirmed bookings to these vendors. Elopements typically have up to 15 guests, while microweddings can include up to 50 people, with services currently available in over 30 unique destinations.
